CreateDetroit is a grassroots organization dedicated to growing the economy and spirit of Detroit. Through a network of volunteers utilizing their skills and talents we promote Detroit as a great place to Live, Work, Play, Learn and Create. If you are interested in assisting CreateDetroit's misison of growing Detroit please consider joining one of our working groups.
The definitions for our work groups and their primary contact person are below. Please contact them directly to get involved or ask for additional information.
Marketing/Image/Public Relations: This group is actively putting together a marketing /pr campaign for CreateDetroit. This includes our brand, website, e-newsletter content and any marketing opportunities to develop awareness about CreateDetroit and our initiatives. In addition to marketing CreateDetroit this group will assist us in creating positive marketing for the City of Detroit and our local small businesses and entrepreneurs. Technology: This group is tasked with all technology related to CreateDetroit, our events, and initiatives. This includes the website, e-mail, e-newsletter, and volunteer databases. In addition to supporting CreateDetroit this group will assist in helping small businesses in the city of Detroit with their technology needs. Event Planning: This group handles all the planning for our events. Agenda, food, drink, seating, sound, visuals, parking, facilities, etc... This group will be making arrangements with all the caterers, bands, etc... involved with the event. The contacts - Cynthia Delavega and Trisha Almquist
Outreach: This group is tasked with making sure that all groups that should be at the table are invited. They can't make sure that everyone will be involved, but at least they are extending the invite. If you have any existing association contacts that you can leverage, even if you don't choose this group, please get the info on your association to the leader. Contact Rosie Koul
Sponsorships/Development: This group is tasked with finding sponsorship opportunities and overall budgetting for the CreateDetroit. Contact Eric Cedo - director@creatededtroit.com
